Well, I had bought a knife before from David (drdl) and all he did was sell me a great knife at a tremendous price, ship it promptly and well packaged, and communicate quickly thoroughout the whole deal.
Apparently that was not enough for him!! I agreed on another knife deal with him last week and mailed him a money order on Friday, to which he responded that he would mail the knife the next day (Saturday). We are both in Southern California, but about 35 or 40 driving miles apart.
So last night (Saturday) we are getting ready to leave the house for my daughter's birthday dinner when a man comes to the door with a USPS Priority Mail package. David had not been able to get to the Post Office as he intended so he BROUGHT THE KNIFE TO MY HOUSE!! He made some excuse about how it was no big deal since he was on his way from one place to another but we are far enough off the freeway that it had to have added at least 20-30 minutes to his trip.
Unbelievable!!! Would I have minded if he had let me know that the knife wan't going to get mailed til Monday? Not in the least. My big regret is that we were literally on our way out the door or else I would have invited him in and could have spent hours talking knves with him and made a new friend (I need all I can get)!
David, we must do it another time. You are obviously a class act.
