Dreaming of a knife I wish Buck would make…

That's great and all, but I was talking about a 501, not a 55
Yes I understand that.
I was just saying in my original post how I love the 704 because It's like a slipjoint version of the 503 or 055, and I can understand wanting a slipjoint version of the 501.
if the 704 is any indication that slipjoint 501 would be a great knife.

There was just a bit of confusion, I didn't really understand your reply to my post, and maybe you didn't really understand what I meant in my original post.

I was just pointing out that your comparisons didn't really have anything to do with the 501 I mentioned. If you said a 302 was close, that would make sense.

it's smaller, but otherwise is basically a 500 series slipjoint.
All I was saying is that they've done it in a smaller size and it's great so I know it would be just as great in a 501 size.

The 302 Solitaire would be an even bigger stretch of a comparison because the size is the only similarity.

Whatever you say Chief. Do you even have a 501 to make any kind of reference?

I had a dream last night Buck made a 112 Selector in Nickel silver and Buffalo horn with a dozen different steels and blade styles..

Dabbled with this idea about a year ago, but was forced to go in a different direction.

110 and 112 Slim Pro TRX with an added layer. Slipjoint backspring, with combination flat head and bottle opener tool. Preferably the longer style, found on older pioneer style knives.

Thumbstud would have to be one-sided but, if you make that reversible... The TRX line can be stripped down so the layers could be reversed relatively easily for a lefty.
