trying to identify and value small old multitool set made by dreizack solingen for philips(electronics?). has handle that looks like knife handle with interchangable pliers knife file awl hammer in tan leater zippered case. any help appreciated

Do the pliers go into the knife handle ?

On most of these German kit type of tools , if they had a plier they were a seperate tool to themselves provided as part of the kit . Some of these kits simply had like two springs on one end of the handle that the blades spread apart as they were inserted then the spring ends closed on notches at the base of the blades . A few of these kits would have a blade that was permanent in the handle that would open the bars on the end of the handle when the blade that was permanent was lifted . once another blade was inserted into the end you closed the open blade to lock the second into place .

To answer any part of your query more info would be needed as to condition , total number of blades etc . A pic would answer a lot .
