Dremel Rotary Tool

Question -- My Dremel is now "chattering" very loudly and the speed setting switch does not stay where you put it. Anybody with experience out there know how to fix these problems, before I take the "lets take it apart and see" approach? Or is it just time to buy a new Dremel? Thanks for any info. Tuna out
