Dress watch quandary

Mer,

The blue-faced Skagen in your link is the very watch that my wife gifted me with the other night. She must have found another vendor or rebate or something to get the good price on it, though. I still can't get over how thin this watch is!

I've had my quartz ti Seiko chrono for nearly 5 years, and as much as I bang it around, it still looks great with a cleaning and polishing. For a "plainer" watch, I'd go with a ti Wenger Swiss Army.

If you go "dress" without getting too dressy, you'd get more use out of it than just on certain occaisions. Understated is often more classy than overstated, sort of the "less is more" theory.

Had the same problem - I was addicted to the omega/rolex look and a timex budget. Plus all the cool tactical watches. I finally got a Ti Ecodrive Citizen on the internet - $75 cheaper than the local Zales - and I love it except it has no date. It's hell getting older.

Just purchased my Zeno Explorer (Miyota movement) a couple of weeks back. Took 3 days from England to Singapore. Watch arrived well packed, in its own pouch and security seals are everywhere. Really Happy, 80 pounds plus 14 pounds(GBP, if you're wondering) shipping.

Regards Bernard

I have an Omega Seamaster Professional and I love it but you should be aware of one thing if you are new to mechanical watches. They are simply not as accurate as good quartz watches. Not much off but if you're a perfectionist it may drive you nuts. My Omega loses about 2 seconds a day, about a minute a month. I know that I could have a jeweler adjust the movement but I don't need it any more accurate. IWC and Rolex are also off and they all have to be cleaned about every two or three years at $100+. Again, I LOVE mechanical watches but just want to let you know what you're getting in to......

Dennis,

Do you still sell Luminox watches?

Axel

I can still get them, yes. I haven't had time to dedicate to the business, so I have stopped trying. I can have them dropshipped though.
