Drill press for hidden tang?

Here's something even simpler-
A hand drill and a vise. Works pretty well.
If your bit isn't long enough, turn the handle over and drill from the other end.

I've considered this but wasn't sure how straight I would be able to drill it

Are you doing a Hidden tang(Partial tang that goes half way into the handle) or Through Handle tang?
