Drill Press

Yes they are. I have not needed many parts over the years, but when I did Grizzly always had the part/s in stock.

I found a gem on Craigslist, needs a bit of a cleaning but overall shape was good! She was $50
Thanks for all the advice!!

Good deal! Old import, Central Machinery? Probably a pretty good drill.

Central Machinery, 16 speed. Shes in good shape, I had to clean a mouse home out of the top but everything is in great working order. Right after 12345678910 posted the thought about looking at c-list, this was one of the top 3 or 4 post, and less than a 10 min drive!!! Quite a bonus for me!! Saved me a few hundred bucks.
Now on to find some bits!!
Thanks again!!

That is a great machine, at least the one I got off C/L is and it came with a milling vise and a regular vise. Needed a little light surface rust removal and re-adjustment, and the stated speeds on the top cover were within 25 rpm's when checked with a digital tachometer. Cleaned it up and now it runs like a dream.

Gotta love Craigslist. Here in Chicago there are all sorts of deals to be had. At the same time, discovering the REAL, market value of my (bought new at the time, long before CL existed) Craftsman drill press and bandsaw opened my eyes. The good news is I've long since gotten full value out of those 2 tools.

Of course there are people on CL who will waste your time and gas if you're not careful but for the most part I've done great using it. It can be like a treasure hunt at times................ Great fun
