I'm having trouble drilling the jade colored G-10 I got on the forum here without it fraying, or turning white, or delaminating or something around the pin. Am I running my drill press to fast, or too slow?

You probably need to use colbalt bits very sharp. HSS steel bits are gonna burn up.

I used cobalt for the one knife I made with this stuff, but I also have my small benchtop drill press set up for the slowest speed - sorry, no idea what that is, but I didn't have any probs.

I always found G10 hard to saw but pretty easy to drill. My regular bandsaw won't cut it very well. Only my metal cutting bandsaw will work for me. For drilling, I use HSS bits at med speed. Never had a problem drilling the stuff. I think as long as your bits are sharp you'll be fine.
