do you think i can drill a whole ( NOT from an existing one) in heat treated HSS
how do i do this how do i puunch
 
yes you can, but it is difficult. You will need carbide bits, I recommend four flute carbide end mills

No.

It's a very bad idea, unless you have a great deal of machining experience and a well-equipped shop. If you had either of those, you wouldn't bother asking about it here. Sorry to be a downer, but based on your questions/threads over the last couple days, I doubt you've ever drilled a hole in any metal.

Back the truck up. Read the stickies, re-think what you want to do, and start over.
