Tonight it is stuffed squid. It is one of my mom’s recipes that I have not made in about 11 years.

It took about 2 hours to clean and stuff the little bastids:mad: :mad:… that is why the bottle is just half full.:thumbup:


From here they get covered in stewed tomatoes & wine and simmer for 90 min. I hope I got it right :o

Hmmmmmm...Highland Park... I only had the 12 (and I liked the stuff a lot), but I have an unopened 18yo bottle, waiting for an occasion to be opened...

Looks like it will be seriously delicious. You're making me hungry.

I'm just savouring an 18yo Glenmorangie myself.

Based on the pics I have seen, I don't know that I would have put you at 55 (seems a bit high), but looking at the above photo...I don't know--maybe it's just me...but I would guess your age there to be about 32!!! :eek:

He does appear to have a mustache in that picture. Some people age different I guess. I'm pushing forty, puberty ought to kick in any day now. :o

Well I fished bass as a boy until I started to play golf at age 13. Then I didn't fish again until I was 20, but we didn't live at that house when I was 20 so I was 12 or less at the time of that old photo.

OK I was 51 here in this photo (me on the left).

This IS WHAT 51 LOOKS like. They reason you think it should look worse than this is because everyone else that says they are 51 are lying. :p

That bottle would be empty before I ate that....no offense, I am sure your momma could cook a mean squid, and I will eat hog head cheese and mudbugs all day long, but that is just WEIRD!!!!

squid is good eating!!!

if it is properly cooked, the texture is very much like a firm lobster. but not as stringy.

the legs are kinda rubbery. but the taste is fairly mild.



tony, what are they stuffed with?
 
Tony looked 51 when he was 12 and he still looks 51 today, so he probably looked 15 when he was born.
 
Looks great Tony! What do you stuff the little bastids with? I loves me some calamari.
 
I just love Nick's . They make my mouth water. I really think Jerry needs to make another run! A whole set would be just the best thing ever.
