Drive belt for KMG

Well that's a much better deal but doesn't make it clear if its the same drive belt circumference wise. Ill see if I can get through to Beaumont today. Thanks for the link.
 
Run down to Harbor freight. They sell link belt there. Make it whatever length you want. As
Others have said lots less vibration as well

I used a link belt for ever and once it wore out and broke I used a love-joy coupler to direct drive the grinder, much better.
 
Direct drive is definitely superior, especially if you have a VFD. Matthew Gregory was selling some direct drive kits if I'm not mistaken.
 
I personally think that the only reasoning to run belts is if you don't have a vfd. Once you get a vfd then ditch the belts and direct drive. I'm going to make up an adaptor plate for my KMG clone so I can ditch the love joy and put the drive wheel right on the motor.
 
Contact Matt Gregory if you want to eliminate vibration and go direct drive, it's a huge difference.
