i am making of a couple kmg clones. both will have 1750 rpm variable speed motors. one machine is going to have 14 inch wheel the other i will use as a slack belt machine. does anybody know what size of drive pulleys i need to make.

Unless you have direct drive, this probably won't help. I think you probably have to take into account the diameter of the motor pulley. But it's a start.

Since your motors are VS I think the 4" wheel that the KMG uses would be just fine, provided you're using two equal sized pulleys or a direct drive. If the pulleys are different sizes, you'll need to find out what the speed of the drive shaft is before deciding on a drive size.
