Been wanting to mod this since I got it from knifejunkie1928 knifejunkie1928 . I didn't take photos of the process. Most of you know how to strip a blade and add a mustard patina. Applied the mustard to get the mottled result. Three coats. I purchased some Tommythewho scales off fleabay, Bolivian Rosewood.

Before and after:

Probably 9 or 10 years ago, I won a BK9 sheath from Skystorm Leather Works. I believe it's Patriot Leather Co. now. I was going to do a drop point mod, and etch some snake scales on my BK9, but never did. Anywhos, here's the sheath, with a snakeskin inlay:

He even added my nick on the dangler:

Next to my Cam 2. The 2 has Brazilian Ironwood scales. Sure does look similar to Bolivian Rosewood:

Pretty happy with the results. Thanks for looking.

Beautifu! Great looking handl scales and sheath. Love the cam bk2 as well! Curious do you like the jimping on the 9? Or do you wish it was a smooth spine?

Thanks guys, that sheath is killer. I've always liked the mottled look. I do the same on all my knives I strip.

Was thinking down the road of etching some snake scales into the blade. More than likely create some drag though. What do you guys think?

unless you etch then really deep and with sharp shoulders, I doubt it'd add any appreciable drag.
