drop point camp knives

i also just saw a cs pendelton hunter for 40 bucks 3&12 blade aus 8 steel 3/16 thick....not too shabby any experiences??

I'm looking at the drop point design in regards to a camp/survival knife....It seems versatile enough to meet a variety of needs. As I mention n most of my threads the uses would be primarily food prep, light Battoning (kindling) small game and fish prep, picking fingernails etc. however being a saltwater sports enthusiast corrosion resistance is a must, so far I've been looking at the:

1)fallkniven f1
2)buck vangaurd
3)benchmade rant
4)benchmade fixed griptillian

as always opinions a suggestions are welcome....Thanks

Regarding benchmade rant, to the best of my knowledge, there are two different models: the rant bowie with 3.95" blade and the rant DPT with 4.48" blade. However, of all of the above mentioned knives I would go for the Fallkniven F1. Better steel by far (laminated VG10), better blade geometry / profile (convex), and an extended tang that can find more than one uses.

I hope that helps.
