I want a real Buck 110 Drop Point Damascus Blade, Not a 110 Damascus modified Clip Blade... :thumbup: ...

It's a real DP. I special ordered it from Grand Leavitt (Snake River Knives).
He has a good reputation for his damascus. It's not stainless like the Devin Thomas but I think it really good quality. I thought that he could provide bar stock to Buck and they could work their magic for the club knife everyone is hankering for.

Btw, Grand ground the blade too. It's fit is less than perfect and has a slight amount of play. Otherwise, really nice.

FL, It really looks sweet... I would love to have one ... But I'm waiting for Buck to come out with one that's stamped Buck Custom on the blade or just Buck 110(* on the Blade and not modified at all... ITE ... :thumbup:

That blade was ground by Grand Leveitt as a drop point at my request. It is not a clip point blade ground down to look like a DP. I put it in a 111 frame and did the scale so its a mod in that respect.

The only thing that may hold back a drop point club knife in Devin Thomas damascus is the high cost of the blade stock. It would be a pricey knife even at the club discounts.

I wish that Buck would consider offering Grand's blade stock (it's not stainless) as I think it would allow for a more reasonably priced knife. I also think his patterns are good and the quality high. Just another option for you DP/Damascus hounds to talk up to Joe.
 
I get so caught up in the search for older 112's I sometimes forget Buck DOES come out with new collectibles...
