Here's a picture of the knife sheathed to give you a better idea of size. This knife fits the hand very well, and carries easily. The Holly is very translucent in real life, my pictures stink, most think it is bone before I tell them it's wood. Holly wood is quite hard yet lighter than bone giving the knife good balance. The color is natural with nothing added.

I have been just shocked lately that such beautiful knives like this one with a give away price , that they are not being grabbed up by some one . Nice work ,handmade , useable and cheaper than a junk production . Just mind boggling .

Amen, I completely agree!!! Great looking knife!!!

I bet a lot of "junk production knies" are not selling either. With GM $40 billion in debt and the Feds blowing smoke about how good it will be to borrow half the GNP, things are a little slow and unsettled.

Hi Joseph,

It seems every knife you post up here is better and better. That is so great! I agree with you about your photos though. It would be good if they were better so we could see your fine work better.

All the best, Phil

Hey Thanks guys, I appreciate the kind words. As for my lack of photography skills, I'm trying to do better. One thing for sure though, every knife I post looks better in real life than it does in the photographs.
I'm planning on making myself a small light box very soon, my camera is a compact 5 megapixal Cannon. I'm thinking I may need to upgrade although I don't believe I have used this one to its full potential yet.
Thanks again,
Joe

Thanks Richie, I will, I would have figured you to stay on the switchblade forums. Good to hear from ya, and thanks

Hey denim, sorry to be such a noob. I'm new here and also to custom knives. I've never owned one but am looking to aquire some mostly for use in the hunting field.

Is the small indention in the edge next to the choil (hell, I even had to look up that term to find out what it meant) just something that is typical of the transition from the choil to the sharppened edge?

Again, sorry if this is a stupid question - which it probably is. The knife and sheath by the way are beautiful.

Earl

Thank you for answering my question Joseph. I would like to take your knife as my first custom made knife. I really like the way it looks and believe it will be a nice one for me. If you let me know where to make PayPal payment I will get that right out. Thanks, Earl

Your welcome earl, and thankyou, it's a nice knife, I hope you will be happy with it.
I'll need your e-mail address to send a paypal request for funds.
Thanks again,
Joe
