• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

I made these two this weekend. Gallery

Drop point hunter is in RWL34 - 4mm - about 59HRC, brass guard, pins and tube and India water buffalo horn scales. Flat grind with secondary edge.

Buscrafter is made from 5,5mm thick Latrobe 14-4CrMo in 57HRC (god knows why it gave such hardness - 1055C, quench in oil and temper it 2hrs on 180C.
It scratches glass with the edge???! maybe the measurment is not precise??? ) , Amboyna scales and brass corby pins and tube. Flat grind with convexed edge.

Thanks, Mr. Montgomery. The bushi will be my personal blade for outdoor activity. The drop point was required with maximum belly for skining. I tested both on cardboard boxes - they seem to hold the shaving sharpness allmost the same. I am pleased with the result. :)
