On this drop point hunter I used para kingwood , a rare hard, heavy and oily wood from mexico . When sanded and left dry it has a purple color to it , I buffed this for the shine which causes it to look darker .
Steel is ATS-34 SS, 3/16" with a Paul Bos heat treat to an RC of 59-60
O.A.L. is 8"
Blade- tip to handle is 3 1/2 " . 1" wide at the handle.
Sharpened edge is 3 1/4"
Hollow ground with a 600 grit wheel satin finish and the flats are blade parallel 400 grit satin finished .
Handle - para kingwood with 3 SS pins.
Sheath is 8 oz , wet formed and oiled.
