This drop point hunter is a good size for hunting and bushcrafting usage. It is ground from 3/16 inch thick 1095 carbon steel and heat treated by selectively heating the edge to a critical non-magnetic temperature and quenching in light oil. The blade is tempered at 400 degrees to produce an edge hardness of about 60 RC while the spine remains softer and very tough. Round and triangle files are used to add file work to knifes spine giving the blade a little touch of class. Nicely figured Acacia wood scales was selected and loveless bolts with epoxy used to fasten them to the knifes full tang which has a glass breaker pommel and lanyard hole. An 8/9 ounce tooled leather pouch sheath with an integral belt loop comes with the Drop Point Hunter.
