Thought Ide show some steps I am making a knife tonight how far I got in 2 hours. Took it up to 500 on the sides and hollow ground to 220. Im trying something a little different and taking the grind right to the spine . Looks flat ground but thats just the way the pictures are it feels good and even it should reall perfrom like a champ. here are some pictures. Ill do the vine pattern on the spine and send it off for heat. then Ill show it again after. kellyw

DAMN..... are you a fast grinder or what?

First pic, we see steel at 10:17.

Second pic, we see layout at 10:19.

THEN.... at the speed of light.... a shaped, drilled, profiled, and partially polished blade at just one minute later!!

Way to go!

Just goofin' with you. :D

Seriously, looks good!

I wasnt quite telling the truth on the picture showing the grinding I watched a movie till midnight then ground it out in a 1 hour and 30 min . My drill press was preset and ready lol

Like I said, just messin' with you. It looks like it will be a nice knife when finished. I like the functional aspect a lot.

Robert you have a valid point alot of knifes are just to pretty to elaborate and well just to expensive to take out in the bush for a good old fashion drag through the mud and back expedition . The majority of the knives I will make for now are going to be working knives, that will get lots of use by the owner.
