Drop Point Maverick: Initial Impressions

LOL. We can re-grind that for you if you'd like to get that new and unused price Scott.

I edited a few more pics into the original post. After tonight, I really like the security of the purchase this handle offers with greasy hands from handling bacon

Ok, first off I have no problem with you adding this in here. BUT **clears throat** if you get to bust my balls in your photography thread over my "too-professional" photography, then I get to bust your's in my Drop Point Maverick thread over you not knowing your Fiddleback models :D

You see, what you have there is a Drop Point Renegade

These here are Drop Point Mavericks. See the difference? ;) :p :D

Damn Brian if you wanted to bust my balls I would prefer you drive down to the shop and just kick them square on:D

You are correct though. Truthfully with the hours I have been putting in lately it would not surprise me one bit if I posted up a pic of a Bishop in a Bow Legged Joe pic thread. I saw the words drop point and just thought to add it in late at night. Have not had a drop point maverick come through the shop though so have not been able to put a personal visual to the knife. Hopefully we will fix that soon.

As for your pictures... I would not consider someone calling your pics "too professional" anything but an absolute complement. You take amazing pics, and while I do not remember the specifics of the thread, I do believe I was looking for amateur shots of knives in use. If I would have shared your pics and said they were taken by an amateur I am pretty sure someone would have called me out on it. Take it as a compliment my friend:thumbup:!

LOL, all in good fun Scott, no bad intent there :D

And thank you for the compliment!!

Im really liking this model and want to order another one. May turn into my favorite fiddleback. As Andy said it really locks into your hand better than any other model.

For me - my DROP POINT MAVERICK handle is #1 for my hand. As I close my eyes and compare grips on knives, this one is absolutely #1 - PERFECTION.

I have to laugh because my 16 y/o daughter snuck up on me as I was comparing different grips with my eyes closed and she just shook her head and said “you’re just not right dad.”

I flashed a sinister open eye (one to be exact) and we both had a good laugh. I was laughing at myself and she was mimicking my actions. I even had her conducting this “closed eyes” testing method later in the day.
