How easy is it to sharpen this knife? I am thinking of getting my wife her first knife and need something that can be sharpened easily and quickly. Thanks.

It depends on what you are using to sharpen your knives with. I use a belt grinder followed with a leather strop with white rouge to remove the burr. Recurve blades tend to be a little tricky to sharpen on flat stones. But I think a croc stick would probably work to touch the edge up. Some use wet and dry sandpaper on a mouse pad.

Thanks for the interest.

I find 1095 pretty easy to sharpen. I'd use a Sharpmaker with something this small. You could keep it stupidly sharp without much effort. Make sure she keeps it dry.

I think this one has nicer lines to the edge. I also prefer this style of sheath. I bet that handle would look awesome with a little drink of mineral oil.

A sharpmaker or crock stick setup will keep it razor sharp for a long time!
