This knife is made from a John Deere opener blade from a field cultivator. The steel rockwells at 56 from the factory. I heat treat only the edge which i try to get close to 63 - 65 rockwell which will hold a good edge. An edge this hard will take some time to sharpen but I will sharpen it for free if returned to me which is what I suggest.
Thickness is 3/16" with a 4 7/8" long single bevel blade and an overall length of 9 1/8".
The blade is made from 1070 steel
The handle is neoprene rubber which is contoured nicely.
A plain hand stitched sheath is included.
Price is $175. not including shipping. I will not ship outside the 48 states.
Please send email or pm me for payment arrangements.

Now that's just neat! I really love deep integral guards like that.

i have quite a few knives made with the same guard design. the sheaths on these knives utilize the deep guard to lock the blade into the sheath. this one ties into the sheath though but i can add a lock which would do away with the ties.

Looks good Richard,

Enjoyed talking with you last night. Looks like you're ready to rock and roll :)
