Breaking away from the smaller knives I recently posted, here is a heavy duty blade for the hunter or camper. I forged this one from 52100 high carbon steel, heat treated it in my shop to Rc 58-60 with attention to a fine grain sturcutre throughout the blade. The handle is stabilized cross grain walnut secured with brass pins and J B Weld epoxy. Overall length Is 8 1/4 inches, blade 3 3/4 inches and the spine at about 3/16 inches. The leather scabbard is equipped with a 2 1/2 inch belt loop for a right hand carry.
