Hi all,
Some guy emailed me wanting one of these knives, but I couldn't contact him. If he sees this and wants it, he gets it. If I don't hear from him in 2 days, I'll post on here that it's available. Seems like a tacky way to do this, but I just can't get a hold of him.
Yew.bet, if you see this, please e-mail me from a working e-mail address, and/or turn on your PM option!

This knife is basically the same as the recurve utility knives I've been posting, but the blade is more like a drop point.

Here's the specs:

Steel: O1 ground, not forged

Blade length: 5 3/4"

Total length: 11"

Blade width: 1 5/8"

Blade thickness: 3/16"

Handle material: green canvas Micarta

Price: $175 + $8.50 shipping

Sheath: Black leather molded pouch type.

Right now the blade has a handrubbed 600 grit finish, and the handle is smooth, but if you want the blade or handle or both bead blasted I can do that for no extra charge. The tang is tapered . Handle has a stainless lined lanyard hole, and I'll include a lanyard.
I can take MO, check, or paypal. I prefer MO. If you send a check, please allow ten days for it to clear.
Thanks for looking!

Phillip

Phillip, For a man your age you have a remarkable insight into ergonomics and blade design. This is a very nice knife and I'm a hair away from ordering it. Somebody save me from myself.

Phillip looks like I need to update my registration for this forum. Thank you for your efforts but I am going to pass on the knife right now. Best YEWBET:thumbup:

Thanks for letting me know. I'm here in case you ever want one. :D

OK folks, this one is hereby available. :D
BTW, if you prefer a different type of sheath, or one made by someone else, that's fine. It'll knock $20 off the price if you don't get one from me. :)

Going once, going twice, SOLD to the gentleman from Florida. :D
Thank you sir! And thanks guys for the comments. :)

I was interested until I see it was sold. If you make anymore let me know? I have been looking for a knife like that.

Also, can you tell me the size of the handle in future?

Thanks!

I gave that knife to a longtime friend and collector. He is thrilled with it. It's his kind of user. It will be used on several continents and for everything. His comment was "Nice shape for skinning-do anything but stick with it. It's a user!"
From him that's a compliment Phillip!

I have the slightly recurve version of this blade it it is just top knotch. I've been using as much as I could over the past two weeks clearing up the yard. Phillip makes a great blade that's just wants to be used.

Hi, this is me, Phillip Patton. BF is having problems, (incredible, I know) and I can't use my other username right now.

Thanks for the comments guys!

Spearz, I'm working on one right now, that's a little different. I'll email you a picture when it's finished. I'm a little confused about whether I'm allowed to sell on here, with my knifemakers membership in limbo, so to be safe, I'll refrain for now.

The handle is 5 1/4" long, just under 1" thick at the thickest, tapering to about 7/8" at the end, and about 1 3/16" wide where your fingers go.
