Drop point vs. Tanto

Thinking about ordering a BM Griptiian as a custom order. Have never owned/used a tanto blade. What are the advantages/disadvantages? Will be ordering it in S30V steel...

Well, if your going to do a lot of stabbing, or prying, the tanto is the way to go. If your looking for a lot of easy cutting, piercing things lightly, and edc ability, then you should get the drop point. I loooooove the sheep-foot though, and recommend it

Don't care for Tanto blades myself. Just don't find enough use for them..

I love a tanto point, if the drop point has a good enough point, it will win me over. I find no need for the slanted portion of the tanto and find it to be a pain when sharpening.
