The process of making this knife is "mostly stock removal" which means that I did most of the work at the grinder but added a couple of heats in the forge to give the area near the spine a hammered texture. This is a time efficient process that allows me to keep my pricing in line even though materials have sometime doubled in price in the past year. Proper heat treating and edge geometry give this knife excellent edge holdling properties.
52100 high carbon steel
Heat treated to Rc 58-60 with attention to a fine grain sturcture
Flat grind with forged texture on the flats
Stabilized and dyed curly maple handle
Overall length: 8 1/2 inches
Blade: 4 inches
Leather scabbard with a belt loop for a right hand carry
