I'm needing to upgrade from my Craftsman 2x42 and need a heat treat oven. I mainly need a 2x72 grinder, heat treat oven, possibly a forge, kydex press, leather working tools, and maybe a forge hammer. I would probably entertain trading for other equipment too. Please do your research before making an offer because these rifles aren't cheap. They're high-end precision rifles.

Unfortunately I have to pay some bills and have to part with this beautiful rifle. I had the hand guard professionally milled off to covert length and it now accepts cover barrels. The barrel that comes with the rifle is a 26'' DTA .338LM barrel with 140rds through it. The rifle shoots under 1/2MOA all day long and usually stacks 300gr SMKs on top of each other. Here's the load I used:

300gr SMK
92gr h1000
Lapua brass
CCI primer
3.697 COAL
2701 average FPS

This load shot excellent. Fast and accurate. No signs of pressure.

The rifle comes with the following:

Gen 1 chassis with .338LM conversion
DTA torque wrench
DTA Muzzle brake(awesome brake)
2 magazines
New gen 2 rubberized butt pad
Atlas gen 1 bi-pod

I realize this is a Gen 1 but, if you're in the market for one of these, then you know gen 1's are no different than the newer models other than that they use a pin for the barrel to index off of instead of a groove. The barrel is broke in, load developed, and it has the best muzzle brake available. I might have another magazine around but I can't find it at the moment. I also have some Redding type S bushing dies and around 150rds of the above load I could offer to the buyer as well. Scope is a Nightforce 5.5-20x50 NPR1 MOA/MOA with zero stops, bubble level, and butler creek caps.

This rifle is a project rifle that I just no longer have time to work on. The magazine follower was for a .223 and is a little finicky with .300blk. I'm not sure but I think it might just need a .300blk follower or perhaps the current one could be modded. It feeds most of the time but will hang up sometimes. I did develop a subsonic 240gr SMK load for it and it was around 1/2MOA. VERY quiet with a suppressor.

It's a Stevens/Savage(stagger fed internal magazine)action with a 1-8 twist stainless match 16.5in Mcgowen barrel and 5/8-24 threaded muzzle and Choate Varminter stock. The barrel has less than 200rds through it and all were subsonic. It also comes with a Ken Farrell 20MOA scope base. It has a Rifle Basix 2-stage match trigger on it. This is an AWESOME rifle and is perfect for launching heavy subsonic rounds.
