DTBMBG measurements?

For those of you that that have recieved your double talon mistresses, I was curious what the actual measurements of yours came out to.
 
I'd be happy to take some measurements on mine, but I just got dinged yesterday so it will be another week or two.
 
Forgot about this thread when I first got mine, but I just laid a tape on it. My DT blade is 9 5/8" to the scales, OAL is 15 1/4".

Sounds a little weird to have 3 different blade lengths, but the same OAL. Maybe all of our tape measures are defective, lol :confused:

But whatever, it's all good.

Mine measures 9 3/4" blade length as well. Since OAL is the same, I'm thinking the difference has to be in the handle scales. Could someone who has one that measures the full 10" (or anything but 9 3/4") post pics so we can compare where the scales end on that knife to clampdaddy's pictures?
 
Mine is only 9.5" to scales. Didn't measure overall. Guess I should, but was kinda disappointed with the blade length, considering the advertised length.

Would it be possible for you to post a pic of yours whe convenient so we can try to see where the difference is? My suspicion is that your handle scales extend 1/4" further towards the point than mine or clampdaddy's, but that's just a guess.
 
I'll try. I probably won't be able to do it today, but hopefully can tomorrow. Have guests coming in today, and already behind.
 
Sounds awesome, rockspyder. Whenever it's convenient for you. The mystery of the variable blade length DTBM will still be here after all the beer and fireworks. I doubt many people will spend much time looking until sometime on Tuesday and even then we'll likely be distracted by the possibility of a new O2W offering.
 
Mine is Blade 9 -1/2 and handle scale 4 -15/16. total tip to pommel 15 - 5/16. Blade is 1/2 shorter then spec says.

I did a triple take when I measured mine. Worst part was I was showing my new blade to a knife buddy of mine and I quoted the part on that Aerosmith song where Steven Tyler says "Suck on my big ten inch". Well........I came up a little short. Lol!
 
I was thinking the same way on mine when I posted... like most things, I'm a little short in the mistress-blade, too. Oh, that sounded especially bad... :( :eek:
