I have dealt fairly extensively with other dealers, but I must single out Duane of EDC Knives for service above and beyond the norm. I recently had the opportunity to place a relatively expensive order with Duane. Because of a shipping snafu (not Duane's fault), my order did not arrive as expected. Consequently Duane went absolutely out of his way to make things right. His emails and phone calls not only helped solve the problem but resulted in a more than satisfied customer. I now would find it very difficult to consider anyone else for those special and custom balis to which I am addicted. Duane certainly knows the talk and practices the walk when it comes to customer service and satisfaction.

Kudos to you, Duane!

Thanks guys for the kind words. :)

I would like to elaborate a little on this if you don’t mind.

The ‘snafu’ Pete (tattoou2) referred to was one of several that occurred this week (rough week with my shipper.:grumpy: ) Anyway, a second box of knives were delivered to Pete along with his order…these were knives that were intended for a sheath maker, who was planning to have these done for me for Blade.
I was unaware of this until Pete contacted me to inform me of the shipment, and is now helping me get the package back on its way to its intended destination. This was my first contact with Pete and he went out of his way to help me fix the problem, at great inconvenience to himself.

I am very pleased to have this opportunity to deal with Pete, and I give him my highest recommendation!

It’s good to come across people who have this level of integrity and willingness to help someone out of a tight spot. I am proud to add Pete to my growing list of such people that I have encountered in this business and on these forums. It’s truly a community that I am glad to be a part of.

I've done a couple of deals with Duane that turned out great. He was very patient during the transaction and I hope to business with him again.

I got a knife from Duane last winter. He had tossed in a bag of chocolate cover coffee beans in the shipping box. I was so buzzed up after eating all those things I could barely handle my new knife.

;)

Yeah.., it doesn't get better than Duane. Consistently straight forward, and a real sense of responsibility to his customers, both new customers, and repeat buyers.

I'm glad to see someone make a post related to Duane's follow through, and individual attention to each transaction. I should have done it long ago....
