I watch the show and enjoy it but like all similar shows it will run its' course.
"Reformed" addicts of any sort sometimes go the opposite way...
It will be interesting to see how it goes with the show and Duck Dynasty related stuff.

Tried watching the show, it was so dumb and obviously scripted that it made my head hurt.

Also, you have to be a special brand of dumb to get yourself kicked off your own show because you don't understand network demographics.

Man, I'm big on Kershaw, but if this series of new knives features any image of these clowns, their stupid TV show, or their stupid quotes on them you can count me out.

You have to get with the merchandising program. Pssss... you don't have to buy any of that stuff.

I get that Kershaw wants to make that big money but... Really, Kershaw? Really?

I guess it it helps make them money to fund their ZT division I won't complain... But there's no way in hell I'm buying a Duck Dynasty branded knife haha

Their stuff must sell. My brother took a trophy picture of a proud hunter with his elk wearing a Happy Happy T-shirt. There is a whole section in WM devoted to their junk. The stuff may become collector items in 20 years, time to stock up! :D

I keep procrastinating, but I intend to pick up a couple of their "happy happy" caps to wear when I work outdoors. I am happy and thankful to have a job and to be productive. I take nothing for granted any more.

I can't stand that show or anything with them on it. Why someone would pay extra for an item with their faces on it is beyond me.

I tried to watch the show last night, for the first time mind you, after all this contrived outrage generated over Phil's belief system, and just couldn't get past 30 minutes of the show; just not my kind of entertainment. That being said, I stand behind Phil Robertson...I stand behind the entire Robertson clan for stepping up to the plate and not batting an eye in the face of so much hate and intolerance being expressed by those very folks who's "bread and butter" is tolerance, acceptance, yada, yada, yada, ad nauseum.

Hah, my thoughts exactly.

I'm a little disappointed in the media who are trying to portray Robertson as a hate filled homophobe when if you read the whole interview his position could be summarized better as "I believe homosexuality is wrong, but that's my belief, I don't believe in hating people for believing different things." That's a position I can respect.

Then I tried to watch the show... emphasis on tried...

I tried to watch it last night too, and couldn't make it past 3 minutes. I just don't get it apparently. I applaud their business strategy, they seem to have sold their souls because they are are featured on everything, EVERYTHING. From chia pets, blankets, shirts, belt buckles, coffee mugs, bumper stickers, tackle boxes, and now knives apparently.

I disagree with the one guy's homosexual comments 100% and really enjoy seeing people blast him for it. It always amazes me when celebrities (or pseudo celebrities) just cant keep their mouths shut on controversial topics like this. What do they expect to happen, for all the gays of the world to hear what some dude on duck dynasty thinks of their sexuality, stop and think about what it means, and change their ways? They're only hurting their business by polarizing comments like that - not helping.

You obviously didn't bother to listen to what Phil said. The interviewer asked him a question, and he answered it. I challenge you to show me where he tried to change anyone with his remarks. He gave his opinion and nothing more. I think the problem some have with Phil is that he is a real man and isn't afraid to say what he thinks, nor does he care if you or anyone else likes it or not.

Amazing to me how some of us are just supposed to keep our traps shut while the LGBT folks can say whatever they like. Glaring double standard in my book.

Had a reply but this is in "general forum" so I will obey the rules and not reply with what I wanted. Ill just say I think you are wrong IMO. I don't think they really care if it hurts their business. (Nor do I think it will except for maybe the TV show.) People that lie to improve their business bother me.

There is almost zero knife content so I'm unclear why this is in the General KNIFE discussion forum. I'm not really sure where to move this so it's closed.
