Dugout Dick Dead...survival real life

He lived to be 94 he must have done something right. How many of us are going to live that long?
 
It is amazing how brain washed society has become ..... calling a person names, worse when you know little about him, just because he doesn't fit your perception of a typical citizen mould? Pityful to say the least and I guess a rather poor reflection on you.

Too many of us work to survive and life is an afterthought. If you are on this forum, guess you have a passion for the outdoors and you know the peace and tranquilty that nature can deliver. Calling a person names, only because he is willing to sacrifice a lot of modern conveniences to life on his own terms, close to nature, harm nobody, ask nothing from you, does not use welfare ........ I guess the fear is aparent when you look at your own empty exsistance and it makes sense to put such a free spirit in a box and attach a label to it!!

Kismet, I got it. I know you were not calling names. Just a play on the term in quite possibly one of the nicest ways us anti-socials could.;) Again, thanks for the post. I enjoyed reading of his story.:thumbup:

amazing how they do it...

and here we complain when the cable goes out for a few hours :D :D :D

this is true .....I would love to be able to do this....when I was young i would go into the woods for months a time...now im older and married and the only places I go is to work and the store....sigh
