Dulling finish

I'm still trying to figure out how to use this Chefs Choice EdgeSelect 120.

I thought I was making good progress, but I mananged to screw up the finish on my Gerber "Fred Carter" Utility I. Not the end of the world, but I'd prefer it looked like a factory edge, not butchered by some moron.

Anyway, is there any way to restore the factory "satin" finish on the blade, so I can start over?
