Dulling gunner grips

I have a set of gunner grips on my Kimber, but find them too 'sharp' for barehanded IPSC use. I've heard of people dulling them, but I dont want them as dull as the Urban Raven handles. With what and how should I do this?

You can use a Scotch-Brite type pad (Home Depot paint department). Take them off the firearm and start lightly "sanding" them down with the pad until they reach the texture you desire.

Scotch-Brite is not as aggresive as sand paper so it will be a little slow going but that is a good this as it will prevent you from taking off too much.
