Looks like you'll have to ask Spark Uwinv. I can get only 500 too.

I went to the HI Archives, clicked on "From the beginning" and got access to 192 pages, the earliest being Howard Wallace's Fun with Khukuris post on 3/07/99.

Those darn computers are taking over from the Wolfen!!!

500 is the default maximum no matter what you search.

You'll have to refine your search (make it "tighter") if you want to go farther back.
