Ok, taking into account all the posts before this one, here goes.
I recieved my 1st. and only FRN handle material Spyderco Dragonfly, as posted, on thursday. I'll attempt a compairsion with my only G-10 handle material UK Pen Knife.
1st.- both of these knives are thin and shaped pretty closely the same. There is more handle material on the Pen Knife so it will be inherently stronger. As I posted earlier, oz. for oz. G-10 is stronger and more flex resistant. The texture that Spyderco uses on thier G-10 is IMHO just right. Not to smooth, not to rough. * I don't know about other offerings from Spyderco, but on the Pen Knife it's pretty dang good.
The Dragonfly's FRN feels good to me also. Like I said, it's my 1st. but I do like the feel. It doesn't seem to be as strong and flex resistant, but in real world circumstances I feel it will be more than strong enough. The texture of the Dragonfly's handle is different than that of the Pen Knife but provides a good grip for most situations. A larger knife would have more material and therefor be stronger.
* sidenote: I much perfer the FRN of the Dragonfly to the Noryl GTX of BM's mini-grip. It's not as slick.
* one more sidenote: as with blade shapes, handle shapes will affect the performance of the handle material.
