Dummy Cording Method for your Nighttime Companion

No, this isn't a S&M thread. It is just a simple and quick method for attaching a short lanyard to your Mag-light, Surefire, Streamlight or other handheld light source.

Attach your paracord or cordage to the body of your light with a simple whipping. Leave plenty of cord after you pull it through.

Tie off the ends with fisherman's knots. Leave slack when you tie them so you can adjust the lanyard over gloves or bulky handwear.

Use it in the following way to allow you dexterity and use of your fingers. I'm not sure when or if this method has been posted before but I know it works for me.

That's a nice setup. I have taken to wrapping the middle of the flashlight and making sort of a thumb loop instead of just a lanyard at the end. Same basic idea I guess but yours looks better.
