So, which one was the better tree chopper? Did the weight advantage of the FBM or the length and leverage advantage of the AK make for the better tree chopper?

Now THAT was a great time . I would say the FFBM was faster but it has a nice sharp toothy bevel on it. The AK edge was due for some attention and it was still getting a lot of work done. It would be fun to have a chop off with both of them starting out with the same edge geometry and sharpness :thumbup:

As things were, I am thinking FBM. With everything thing equal, I am still thinking FBM. Be fun to try though, and do a comparison.

thanks for the invite, but I guess a 5 hour drive (from Spokane) is a little much for a Sunday brunch. Might be worth it to get together with some nuts and have a fun time though.

No worries; the 4th Annual Great Northwest Rat (HOG, Dog) Mishchief will be WELL worth the trip (drive/train)...!!

Looking at the third weekend in August (16 & 17).

My guess is its just about time to Panic!!!
