Nobody has asked about blade coating today, so I thought I would. I just got my Duracoat Kit in the mail...complete with a instructional DVD...that doesn't work.

Can anyone give some advice on the application...thanks!

Frank,
I have been thinking of using that same kit myself...I know several of the custom maker's use Duracoat...Hopefully one of them will chime in

I have had decent results in using a strong degreaser and then spraying the blade (after it is heated slightly) with Rustoleium textured paint...Granted I do at least 2 coats of it, but it seems to work ok..

If I remember correctly I believe there was a pretty extensive thread on coatings iehter here or knife network forums cant remember which but should be fairly easy to find with search function on iether site. I know thats not exactly the answer you were looking for but hope it helps.
