Wanted to try my hand at a blade with a duracoat treatment, but was unsure about exactly how that is done. Is it Duracoat or Durabake that I need to use? Any help will be appreciated. Just trying to learn something about the various treatment for blades. Thanks again.

If it's the same as Gun Kote just clean thoroughly with degreaser (generally their brand) and spray. Bake at temp for prescribed time and let cool by turning off the oven and opening the door.

They are two different creatures. The duracoat does not require baking to harden, although it can be baked. The durabake requires you to bake it to harden it.

Depending on how you are set up it may make a difference for you. The regular Duracoat is pretty darn tough if applied over a parkerized finish.

I apply it with an airbrush over a parkerized finish and it looks super and wears really well for my money.

The Dura bake is as easy as spray paint and bake at 300 for 20 mins. or 150 for around 2-3 hrs (something like that, I can go look it up if you need it). The dura coat needs to be air brushed on, then let it "cure" for 3-4 weeks for max durability. The d bake does scratch and scuff pretty easy, but its good for a user. I have only done the d coat in clear on a bead blasted blade that hasn't been used much.

I want to try the CERACOAT next. (Or maybe hard chrome!)
