So, I've exhausted google and I'm no closer to finding a suitable setup for my disc sander. I have a Beaumont disc sander but no way of collecting dust efficiently. My larger 20" has a hood and connection for a 4" hose but there is no way of adapting such a setup to Rob's sander so, do you guys have ideas? Photos would be great but just an idea will do. Thanks in advance.

When I found myself in your position I decided to move the disc to a position where I could get air movement across it then exit the building through a 30 inch fan. I have intake air behind me coming across my shoulders and it draws all the particulate away from me. I am still thinking of a way to use a vac on the disc but until I do this works fine.

Thanks Mr. Rowe, that's pretty much what I've been doing and it works well but would eventually like to contain the dust cloud. :) I'm kicking around the notion to build a downdraft table but at this point its a bit of a large undertaking given my workload to free time ratio.

Any other ideas guys?

Welding fume extraction with cyclonic collection attached also works pretty well. It's the finer dusts from sanding that cause the most harm.
