Duty Fixed Blade

I carry a ZT 0300 in my left front pants pocket, clip set for tip up...just snag it out and flip..one handed. I recently added an Esee Izula. I have had it for two weeks, and have carried/tried four positions. The front pocket carry is fine however..you need both hands to deploy from the sheath. Lashed to my right boot, is small enough but, the factory sheath doesn't lae up in boot laces too well. clipped to the inner belt, behind mag pouch is the way most guys carry their TDI's...I used to to that with a ZT 0121..so it can be done with a larger knife too. and this week, on a paracord adjustable necklace. So far I like this way but, gotta unzip the shirt and reach inside and just pull downward to deploy.

Some Izula users like to use paracord and attach the sheath to their belt. Then they drop the sheath in their front pocket and when they need the knife, they pull sheath and knife out and keep pulling on the knife until it comes out of the sheath. I've never tried that, just sayin... There's also a thumb break sheath for the BRKT Bravo Necker and the Izula. It's a belt sheath that'll go strong side or crossdraw, TKC still has some in stock according to their web site.

Don't know if this'll help you or not, but I carry my Izula and BK14 horizontally in the factory sheaths. I used a piece of a bicycle inner tube to make a belt loop for the sheaths. It holds the sheath very securely, but they do take up a bit of space on the belt when carried horizontally.

I often carry an Izula in my pocket and I can use my thumb or forefinger to snick off the sheath in my pocket very fast.

I'll second the vote on the BK24. If you take a gander over at the BK&T subforum there are many different examples of pocket sheaths and options and modifications.

I would also recommend a BK11 with Micarta handles. The 1095CV is tough as hell, and holds a nice edge. The Micarta handles thickens it up just enough to make it extremely comfortable in many different grips (I wear a large glove).

Mine with a custom sheath from Coyle Outdoors (he's a registered vender here on BF)
