Here is something you don't see everyday, a super rare early work by Dwaine Carrillo/Airkat knives. The WOLFPAK is a very unique hunting package which has three blades and a Spyderco tri-stone sharpening stone all carried in Dwaine unique leather sheath. This is one incredible system! For those who don't know Mr Carrillo's leather work is outstanding, I think the best in the business. This sheath system build quality is superb and the blades all fit super snug and will not fall out even if suppended upside down.
The blades are:
Skinner 3/16" thick x 9" long
Caper 1/8" thick x 7" long
Guthook (aka "GutWrench") 1/8" Thick x 3.4" long
All made out of 440C and green linen micarta
You can see the amount of work that Dwaine put into theis early work is impressive. Crafting three custom blades and making a sheath rig that is crafted so well is amazing, and incredibly labour intensive. Dwaine has sence discontinued his masterfull leatherwork, and will most likely be these older pieces like this and the Apache line that wee see this wonderfull and inovative work.
This WOLFPAK set has been used but is in very good/servicable condition. It would make a stunning set to use on hunting ventures or of course could add to any custom collection. Belive me when peole have seen my Airkat's every one is impressed! All of Dwaines early work pieces are starting to increase in value.
