I've never done that. I sign all of the aftermarket knives I only did a modification of some kind on on the inside and my own customs on the outside. Mostly I do this for myself so I know in the event that I get it back one day when I'm older and grayer that I know its one I did and not someone elses work. I also don't sign the ones I don't finish or complete and in the old days I never signed a blade I made for someone else to use or complete a handle on and stuff like that. Actually I don't sign my blades at all anymore. Never much cared for markings on the blades and especially real 'egotistical' ones and logos that are extreme and gaudy. Signitures are a pet peve also.
You will find a lot of makers do this actually and I hate it! The only blades signed by me are done so by hand and were usually given away as gifts or one time special deals for a friend.
I also sign all my clips using the same STR stamp but again on the underside because I feel its unsightly and that most folks don't really want someone elses initials on the outside of their personal knife.
I can however stamp your initials on the outside for you if you like but its not the same stamp or type lettering as my own.
