Not sure if you really mean "horn", which is non porous and probably would not take dye very well, - or, if you really mean antler. If the latter, potassium permanganate and leather dye are both popular otions for stag.
Actually, I was thinking about water buffalo horn and also some African horn (not sure of the name...) that I picked up at the last Blade Show. I've seen some buffalo horn dyed red and wondered how this was done and what other colors could be used.
