Dyed British desert DPM windproof SMOCK - awesome gear.

Nice smocks.

I like the hog pic.

What you bag that thing with - dont see no knife or gun - did you run it down?

Looks like we share a taste in binos - I have a couple of Steiners as well (8 x 30 & Commander).
..... thanks mate, that smock is an overrun from Platatac here. The hog was shot about an hour after that pic of me in the rain under the tree (if you look closer you can see the rifle slung over my right shoulder still). It is a Sako AII action I bought as a shot out (think smooth bore) .22/250, added a Tobler Snr barrel and McMillian Stock and away I went. It will happily put three of my handloads (using a 165gn Nosler Ballistic Tip) into one hole at 100yds if I do my part. And yes, Steiners, those are the 8x30 Miliatary/Marine model (with the reticle), had them over 20yrs now and they too have accompanied me all over the globe quite happily.

Same hog and rifle...

I looked up some of the Platatac products.

One 'SAS derived' smock (Badger?) had vents under the arms and two outward facing handwarmer pockets, the latter which I found nice.

Also a few more pockets though I have no use for big arm pockets; in theory a nice idea but not when stuffed full of gear.

A nice feature though, when wearing a frag vest though but since I dont anymore. ... you know.

That particular Platatac smock was way shorter than mine though. No good for me with my long upper body.

Looked to be good quality though.

They have made many mods to the original design on request from the SF community here. Mine goes closer to the original version. I needed to go XXL to get the length I needed as well (short legs long torso).

The Canadian version. Got a couple of these. They come w detachable liners. I like using my own. Either wool or down. Puppies are extra :)

Nice smock.

I notice its the experimental SAS PUP smock.
It was an attempt to overwhelm the enemy with puppy cuteness - the SAS is known for their cuteness.

The smock range also comes with an optional PUP tent

Pup looks more easily transportable than Andy's pet below ... though Andy's pet wont pee in his smock pocket:D

Its also evident, that Andy's pet pig is very unruly as well - he even has to have a firm grip on its ears, to hold it still for the pic!

Whats the hat - is it a Bollman?

It's a Wind River made with Lite Felt. Sheds water dries quick. Need to get a small one for my buddy :)
