Dyed stabilized wood question

I received my first dyed stabilized maple wood burl chunk.
I noticed when handling my fingers were covered in dye too.
I figured it was just residue left over.
I than ran it thru the band saw and noticed it was all the way thru.

Will this eventually wipe off?
Or when it's final sanded will this go away?
Is this the norm?
Will wiping it with water warp it?
I recieved it from USA knife maker .

Sorry newbie questions...

If it is stabilized it should be cured and hard. Acts more like plastic than wood depending on the method. I don't know who does USA's for them, but the wood definitely should not be wet or have color rubbing off. Especially from the fresh cut sides as you're describing.

I'm sure USA knifemaker would appreciate you getting in touch with them and will for sure help you out.

After wiping with a damp cloth a few times per side the color is no longer transferring to the paper towels.
I'll still call USA and talk with them.
Maybe it was just the dust from cutting the block???
