dying...

Smoke and Song from Oklahoma....

This has always brought me a great deal of comfort....

Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn's rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there, I did not die...

Prayers for the departed one, I am sorry for your loss

Written on a 19th Century English gravestone:

"Death is a Debt to Nature due.
Which I have paid and so must you!"

Prayers for your loss.

I remember a line, how Life is just a series of events where more and more is taken from you, until you've very little left. I'm sorry for your loss. Fortunately there are good things in Life too, and another Door will often open.
