Dymondwood Vantage

To the origninal post, I have that version which a few came out prior to getting into stores. I thought that the wood was untreated/unfinished and may not hol up to water/blood etc. It is actually called Blue Dymondwood Oiled(IIRC). I thought the last thing it looks like is oiled:confused: Jeff Hubbard says that is not oiled enough to make a mess and will hold up under normal use without issue. I havent given it a workout yet-gonna pick up a user sometime.

Ok now on to the pictures:thumbup:(wish we could get those Bond Arms scales without the logo)

Merry Christmas----Avid

Cool idea on the zip tie! Thanx from another southpaw.

No problem, here's a view of it from the southpaw side.

Works just like a thumbstud. On a regular Vantage, it does slide back and forth on the blade inside the hole, but it still works just fine. It stays in place on the Force series with it's different blade shape.

This has totally given the Vantage series new life to me, I had initially passed on these knives over the liner lock blocking the hole for me. (don't know why, but I just never got used to the flipper thing???)

some more great looking vantages. and glad i'm not the only one that's buying some for the daughters! i've been putting away several "nicer" versions of each model they see me carry often for gifts later (only 4 and 5 now) and have a couple of the Cherry Vantages on the way.

wife thinks i'm crazy but supports it. like i tell her they'll either like knives and appreciate em, they'll marry guys that like knives and will "adopt" em or they are just more of the models i carry so i'll keep em myself! nothing loss either way.

those Force ones are growing on me. and appreciate that southpaw tip. not one myself but tend to pass my models around for guys to try and a best friend is a southpaw that loves em but says they just don't work for him. i prefer flipper but he doesn't so will put a ziptie on today and have em give it a try.
