Dyson Vacuum Had Better Suck

Thought it might be a little risque for G&G, but I had to do it.

Don't want to rain on your parade but the Consumers Association here says there may be a reliability problem:
"Dyson has a long history of poor results in our surveys - it has been bottom of our rankings since 2001."
Miele and Panasonic top their reliability surveys and Miele gets a top performance rating as well.

Might want to check Consumer's Reports magazine regarding how Dyson's performance stacks up against the competition. A recent edition (maybe a couple of months back ??) of the magazine contained results of extensive testing that they conducted on both cannisters and uprights. I'd have to go back and find the article, but Dyson was middle of the pack at best and quite a bit more expensive than some of the beter performing competition. Don't get me wrong here, my buddy has one and loves it, but you really lay down the big bucks to snag one. As a sidebar, after just 9 months, something on his broke and it had to be repaired.

We've had a dyson animal for two or so years and its held up. We've got 2 welsh corgies (they shed as much as many much larger dogs) and a bunch of other animals and the dyson pulled more stuff out of our carpets than I thought possible.

dang...I'm suddenly very happy with my short-hair, low-shed AmStaff Terrier...:o

Got my interest though on the different vacuums....cuz' mine, well, doesn't suck...and is a piece of crap...but was all I could afford at the time.

Anybody got a link to some vacuum reviews online?
